   LOOK FOR


    Look for in leaves
  • Leaf yellowing
  • Premature autumn colouring
  • Wilting and leaf edge burning

   CONDITIONS

  • Worse in waterlogged soils
  • Pythium and Phytophthora (the 'water mould' root rots and Rhizoctonia generally attack young vines in wet soil. Affected vines may be in clusters.

   NOTES

    Vines may recover if the rotted tissue is allowed to dry out and heal over.
