Look for in shoots- Collapse (sudden death) of one or more shoots on an arm or of the whole vine
- Broken, callused or damaged areas on trunk, cane or shoot
- Single affected vines or many along a row
- MAN OR THE VINE
- Yellowed or reddened leaves on isolated shoots or single arms
- Physical damage on shoot, arm or trunk below the affected leaves
- Tendrils, wires or training strings constricting the shoot, arm or rootling
- MACHINERY
- Vineyard equipment sometimes hits and physically damages the vine which wilts or declines, particularly after hot weather.
- MAN OR THE VINE
- Sometimes caused by the things we do or by the vine itself.
