    Look for in leaves
  • MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY
  • Leaves with bright yellow wedge-shaped areas (red in red varieties) extending inwards between the main veins
  • Broad areas of green around the main veins
  • Yellow leaf margins that may turn brown
  • Dead patches that may develop in the yellow (or red) areas and at the leaf margins when severe

   CONDITIONS

  • Tissue analyses are often needed to correctly identify nutritional disorders
  • MAGNESIUM DEFICIENCY
  • Symptoms are uncommon and vary with variety, soil type and the time of year.
  • Symptoms are first seen on older leaves especially after berry softening and are more evident on some rootstocks.
