LOOK FOR

Look for in shoots
• SODIUM CHLORIDE (NaCl)
• A salty taste in affected berries and green shoot tissue
  
  Look for in leaves
• SODIUM CHLORIDE (NaCl)
• Older leaves with darkened edges which later scorch tan and curl upwards (sodium)
• Scorching extending inward to form patches between main veins (chloride)
• Poor growth of vines and early leaf drop of older leaves first
  

   CONDITIONS

• SODIUM CHLORIDE (NaCl)
• Salt toxicity is more common in dry irrigated areas and on own-rooted vines
• It may appear on vines between overhead sprinklers after hot and windy days.
