Look for in shoots- BORON DEFICIENCY
- Shoot tip deather and sometimes zig-zag growth
Look for in leaves - BORON DEFICIENCY
- Edges of leaves with small, red-brown spots which slowly darken
- A yellow mosaic (sometimes with brown patches) between the veins of older leaves
- The smallest veins which turn brown with severe deficiency in some varieties
Look for in bunches - BORON DEFICIENCY
- Patchy fruit set
- Bunches with many small, seedless 'hen and chicken' berries that ripen normally
- Tissue analyses are often needed to correctly identify nutritional disorders
- BORON DEFICIENCY
- More common on vines growing in strongly acid soils.
